RounTrey Pool Information & Rules

General:
These rules and policies have been adopted by the Association to ensure the equitable use, enjoyment and safety of all RounTrey residents and invited guests using the pool.
Residents in good standing with the HOA may bring guests to the pool. The resident must remain at the pool with their guest(s) at all times. It is the responsibility of the resident to ensure guest(s) understand and comply with all pool rules. If guest(s) fail to follow pool rules, the guest and resident may be subject to suspension of pool privileges.
A max of 5 guests per household are allowed per day. The charge for guest visits are as follows:
Caregivers are allowed to accompany resident children to the pool and act as the responsible adult. Caregivers can accompany resident adults to the pool, but are then considered a guest on that day, and will pay a guest fee.
The annual charge for caregivers is as follows:
Future residents who have a signed contract with a builder, and have signed the acknowledgment of HOA covenants will have access to the pool facilities with same privileges as a resident. If at any time, the future resident ends the contract with the builder, the pool privileges are revoked immediately. All fees are non-refundable and not pro-rated. These privileges only apply to the pool. All clubhouse and other facility access is determined by the HOA and its committees. The annual charge for a future resident is as follows:
Non-resident children under the age of eighteen (18) of a resident are not considered guests and can accompany the resident at any time. Non-resident children under the age of eighteen (18) are considered residents when in the custody of the homeowner.
Long-term (greater than 1 week) guests under the age of eighteen (18) of a resident are permitted to use the pool, in accordance with other rules, as a resident. The annual charge for a long-term guest is as follows:

- This is a family amenity.
- Please respect the privileges and safety of all. Each person is responsible to abide by all the rules.
- Comments and complaints concerning the pool, or the lifeguards should be directed to our Community Manager, Bekki Rice, via email at Bekki@acswest.org or phone at 804-727-7451.
- Persons using the pool do so at their own risk.
- The Association is not responsible for any injury, nor is it responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
- All residents are required to scan their key fob at the gate. This will be strictly enforced. If you need to obtain a key fob please complete the online form
- Residents not in good standing with the HOA will be turned away at the gate and will not be allowed use of the pool until account is in good standing.

- The lifeguards are present to supervise pool operations and ensure the safety of all swimmers.
- They are responsible for the enforcement of all rules described herein and have the authority to dismiss anyone from the pool if their actions are judged to be hazardous or inappropriate in any manner.
- Failure to comply with such dismissal, until it can be addressed by the Board and the lifeguard’s supervisors, may justify a longer suspension. This will not be reduced even if the original issue is resolved completely in the swimmer’s favor.
- The lifeguards may close the pool at any time in consideration of the health and safety of the swimmers including the onset of inclement weather.
- Conversations with lifeguards should be kept to a minimum. LIFEGUARDS ARE NOT BABYSITTERS, nor are they expected to clean up after guests.
- Adults: Must be in good standing with HOA. May bring guests of any age.
- 11-17: Must be in good standing with the HOA. Allowed admission without adult supervision (swim test may be administered before allowed in pool without adult resident). May bring one guest within the same age group.
- 10 and under: Only allowed admission with an adult or 11 – 17 age group residents. This age group may not bring guests.

- Age seven (7) and over - $5.00 per guest per visit
- Age six (6) and under – free, but still count towards the max of 5 guests per household
- Fees are payable by credit card ONLY (payable upon checking in with the lifeguard)

Rules and Policies:
- OBEY THE LIFEGUARDS AT ALL TIMES!
- Running, pushing, and rough play in any form in the pool and on the pool deck is prohibited.
- Flips from the side of the pool are prohibited. No diving is allowed. No riding on shoulders. No playing on ladders.
- Smoking, use of tobacco products, or vaping while in the pool area and clubhouse property including the splash park, bathrooms, clubhouse or the vending area is prohibited. Underage smoking is strictly prohibited and can result in termination of access to pool facilities.
- Glassware or breakable items within the pool area is prohibited. There is ZERO tolerance for this and you will be subject to a fine which includes but is not limited to the cost associated with draining, cleaning, and refilling the pool. You and your household’s pool privileges will be suspended for the remainder of the season.
- Pets are not allowed.
- No weapons or firearms of any kind are allowed.
- Abusive or profane language or breach of peace will not be tolerated.
- No loud music may be played at the pool. Only handheld music devices are allowed.
- Proper attire MUST be always worn on the property. No European style bathing suits, cutoff shorts or street clothing in the pool.
- You may not enter the water with open sores, poison ivy, or other infectious or contagious conditions.
- No socializing with on duty lifeguards.
- ALL food and beverage must be kept a minimum of five (5) feet from the pool edge or waterline.
- No scuba, snorkeling, or underwater breathing gear of any kind is allowed for safety reasons.
- Trash and/or food must be disposed of within the proper receptacles. Homeowners are expected to clean-up after themselves.
- Pool furniture is available on a first come/first serve basis. Chairs and tables are to be used for pool side sitting, not for storage. The chairs may not be used in the splash park features or taken from the pool deck. Pool chairs must remain at least 5 feet from the pool/water line perimeter.
- 17. Only lifeguards and authorized personnel are allowed inside the filter room.
- Lifejackets, noodles, or kick boards may be allowed in the pool only at the lifeguard’s discretion and with their express permission. Water toys are permitted in the splash park. Water guns and tennis balls are prohibited in the pool. Inflatable toys or rafts of any kind are not allowed.
- A parent or responsible adult must always accompany a child under the age of seven (7) in the splash park, as this area is NOT under the direct supervision of the lifeguards. No one over the age of six (6), except the responsible adult or parents are allowed to enter the splash park or “kiddie” pool.
- Children who cannot swim must be within arm’s reach of a parent or responsible adult who is in the water. The use of floatation devices does not negate this rule.
- All diaper dependent guests must wear an approved swim diaper. Parents are asked to have all children use the toilet facilities prior to entering the pool and explain the sanitary importance thereof.
- In the case of solid fecal, loose stool or vomit: The pool or splash park will be cleared of all swimmers. Fecal matters will be removed as much as possible. The entire pool will be “shocked” with either liquid or granular chlorine. The pool will remain closed for at least two complete turnovers. This process will take a minimum of 2-4 hours.
- The baby pool is NOT under the direct supervision of the lifeguards. A parent or responsible adult must always accompany a child under the age of seven (7) in the baby pool.
- There will be a ten (10) minute safety break called on an hourly basis at the discretion of the lifeguards. Children under the age of seventeen (17) must exit the pool immediately and will not reenter until given permission by the lifeguards. Children are not allowed to sit on the ledge in the shallow end during this time.
- Trespassing or vandalism on pool property will result in suspension of pool privileges and possible criminal prosecution.
- The swim lane is for lap swimming only. If a resident wishes to swim laps, they may ask a lifeguard at any time to clear the lane.
- The Association has the right to revoke or refuse admission and suspend privileges of any person or household failing to comply with any rules for an indefinite term. Progressive action is applied when appropriate and at the Association’s discretion depending on the circumstances.
- The Association has the right to amend these rules and policies without notice.
- Lifeguard instructions must be followed for the slide.
- The slide must be ridden feet first on your back, in a sitting or lying down position.
- No running, diving, standing, kneeling, rotating, or stopping while on the slide.
- No loitering in the pool at the bottom of the slide.
- Swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets, or metal ornamentation are not permitted on the slide.
- No standing on the steps of the slide while waiting to use the slide. Standing is only permitted on the platforms and on the pool deck while waiting to use the slide.
- Only one person at a time can go down the slide. One adult may accompany a child under the age of eleven (11) on the slide if there is a floatation device on the child.
- Parent or guardian may stand in the water off to the side of the end of the slide to assist child to the side safely.
